NORTH COTABATO – The Special Development Fund – Project Management Office (SDF-PMO) spearheaded Values Transformation Training (VTT) facilitated by the Bangsamoro Development Agency (BDA) and in collaboration with the Development Academy of Bangsamoro (DAB) on May 3-5, 2023 at Blue Palm Mountain Resort, Libungan, North Cotabato.
The activity aimed to develop the trainees’ moral character while grounding them in BARMM’s dedication to moral governance. Specifically, the participants were able to analyze how Islamic values promote a wholesome personality of a Bangsamoro public servant and demonstrate an appreciation of Islamic values in the planning and implementation process.
In her message, Director Melanie M. Indar, SDF-PMO Deputy Project Manager on Planning and Coordination and Director of the Planning and Policies Bureau of BPDA underscored the importance of the said activity to the PMO.
“We aim that the SDF-PMO staff would be able to enhance, develop, and instill in them moral characters while performing commitment to deliver your contribution to the Bangsamoro government,” she said.
The BDA has been conducting VTT since 2009 to instill Islamic beliefs and principles in the BARMM employees from different ministries, offices, and agencies (MOAs) guided by moral governance.
A series of sessions and activities were conducted by BDA facilitators about the Values Transformation and Personal Values Clarification, the Concept of Islamic Values and Moral Governance, Faith and its Articles, the Role of Faith in Developing Islamic Values, Islamic Ibaadat, the Role of Ibaadat in Developing Islamic Values for Moral Governance, Applying Islamic Values for Moral Governance, and Islamic Values in Dealing with Non-Muslim.
