A variety of fishing supplies were distributed to the Tablangas Bangsamoro Farmers Association from Sitio Tablangas, Barangay Kalian, Mangudadatu, Maguindanao del Sur and Maguindanao United Agrifarm Producer Cooperative from Barangay Kalanganan II, Cotabato City. The former received 20,000 pieces of tilapia fingerlings, 30 bags of fry mash, 60 bags of crumble feeds, 60 bags of starter feeds, 65 bags of grower feeds, and 60 bags of finisher feeds. After the ceremony, the team and the beneficiaries proceeded to Lake Buluan to witness the release of the said tilapia fingerlings into fish cages. On the other hand, the latter received one unit of delivery truck and four units of motorized boats.
Mohameden M. Abdulwahab, chairman of Tablangas Bangsamoro Farmers Association, expressed gratitude, highlighting the symbolic importance of the tilapia fingerlings in enhancing fish farming skills in their community.
Moreover, aside from the support for local fishing, the Bangsamoro government, through the SDF-PMO in coordination with BMOAs, also provides different livelihood assistance for conflict-affected communities in the region.
