MAGUINDANAO DEL SUR – As part of the BARMM government’s support to the Bangsamoro farmers, the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Agrarian Reform (MAFAR) conducted a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of MAFARlengke Trading Center at Brgy. Barurao, Sultan sa Barongis, Maguindanao del Sur on July 24, 2023.
The Paldong Mamagayon Marketing Cooperative members and farmers from other municipalities will benefit from the project’s construction. They will be able to have easy access to sell their products.
Hon. Allandatu M. Angas, Sr., Mayor of Sultan sa Barongis, expressed his gratitude for the ministry’s assistance to the farmers. He said that the LGU will support the project for its fast implementation and ensure everything works out.
Noraisa L. Aratuc, SDF-PMO Planning Officer III, emphasized in her message that the SDF-PMO will continue to support projects aligned with the rebuilding, rehabilitation, and development of conflict-affected communities in the region.
“Ang SDF-PMO ay hindi magdadalawang isip na isubmit for approval ang proposed projects and programs from ministries as long as ito ay pasok sa pangangailangan ng conflict-affected areas ng BARMM,” she stressed.
Moreover, the project will be constructed by Malagueña Construction under SDF FY 2021.
