Resident of Brgy. Manarapan, Carmen receives a solar-powered water system with concrete water tank funded under the FY 2020 SDF

Special Geographic Area – The Bangsamoro government, through the Special Development Fund–Project Management Office (SDF-PMO), spearheaded the turnover ceremony of a solar-powered water system (deep well) with concrete water tank for the residents of Brgy. Manarapan, Carmen, SGA, BARMM on September 6, 2023.
The said project was an initiative of MP Abdullah B. Hashim and was funded under the FY 2020 SDF with the Office of the Chief Minister (OCM) as the implementing agency. This will serve as a reliable system for supplying clean water to the community. Its water tank/reservoir has a capacity of 3.2m x 3.2m x 2.5m (25.6 cubic meters), with eight tap stands, each having one faucet.
Amil J. Abubakar, Deputy Bangsamoro Director General of BPDA, who represented Engr. Mohajirin T. Ali, MNSA, SDF-PMO Project Manager and the concurrent Director General of BPDA, shared that Brgy. Manarapan is blessed to receive this kind of project for the community.
“Maswerte ang Brgy. Manarapan dahil isa ang lugar ninyo sa napiling magkaroon ng ganitong proyekto na galing sa Bangsamoro government. Ito ay dumaan po sa mabusising pagsusuri kaya inaasahan po namin na ito’y inyong pangangalagaan at gamitin para sa ikakabuti ng ating komunidad,” he said.
This project seeks to promote access to essential services and enhance the quality of life for the constituents of the Bangsamoro region.
In his message, MP Hashim, a member of the Bangsamoro Parliament, emphasized that the project is a peace process initiative to help the conflict-affected areas in BARMM.
“Napakalaking gesture itong peace at yun na nga ang gusto nating mangyari. Kaya ang aking panawagan sa lahat ay magtulungan tayo para maabot ang kapayapaan with justice,” he stressed.
Also present during the ceremony were Atty. Keen John T. Usman, Chief of Staff of MP Hashim, Hon. Ingko Dalid, Barangay Chairman of Manarapan, Ust. Abdulrahim M. Cua, President of the Manarapan Arabic Teachers’ Association, Engr. Halim D. Sandato, representative of CEMEMP construction, Mohamad Bandila, Mudir of Mahad Datu Dima Galid Al-Arabie Al-Islamie, and SDF-PMO personnel.
