DAVAO CITY – The Special Development Fund – Project Management Office (SDF-PMO) conducted an Orientation Workshop on Completed Staff, Performance Evaluation, and Work and Financial Planning held at Dusit Thani, Davao City last November 26-28, 2021.
The said activity was spearheaded by concurrent SDF-PMO Project Manager and BPDA Bangsamoro Director General Engr. Mohajirin T. Ali, together with SDF-PMO Consultant Ms. Melanie M. Indar and SDF-PMO Operations Unit Head and Chief of BPDA’s Economic Planning Division, Ms. Rohanisah N. Rashid.
In the opening statement of Engr. Ali, underlines that the SDF-PMO staff should be well-equipped enough to provide technical support to SDF concerned implementing ministries, offices and agencies (MOAs). He emphasized that the PMO staff should be ready and equipped to provide technical assistance to MOAs as it is part of the mandate of the office.
On the overview presented by Ms. Rohanisah N. Rashid, she outlined the objectives of the 3-day activity that highlights the orientation on completed staff work, review and assessment of the SDF-PMO performance FY 2020-2021, discussions on the issues and concerns related to the operationalization of SDF-PMO, and introduction to the Work and Financial Planning.
The activity was conducted purposely to equip the SDF-PMO staffs with the knowledge on the preparation of SDF-PMO annual working plan, completed staff work including proper ethical work standard. Additionally, the activity discussed the needs and priorities of the different SDF-PMO units for inclusion in the 2021 SDF-PMO work and financial plan. This ensures that the mandate of the office will be fully realized.
Different SDF-PMO units participated the activity, including the Planning and Programming unit, Project, Monitoring, Reporting and Evaluation unit, Project Validation and Appraisal unit, Management and Information System unit and Finance and Administrative Services unit.
The SDF-PMO was operationalized based on the Executive Order No. 003 series of 2021 to ensure the proper utilization of the Special Development Fund in pursuant to the Section 2, Article XIV of Republic Act No. 11054 or the Bangsamoro Organic Law (BOL). Currently, the SDF-PMO was operating under the umbrella of Bangsamoro Planning Development Authority (BPDA).
